Specialist Farm animal
vets in Banbridge
Here at Iveagh Vets, we provide expert veterinary services for farm animals across Banbridge and County Down. In the farm animal department, the majority of our work is with dairy clients, but we also cover a wide range of beef sheep work
At Iveagh Vets our focus is preventative herd health and routine fertility work, to optimise animal health and production. We have several different milk production systems in the practice ranging from spring calving grass-based producers to large intensive units, to all-year-round calving herds as well as robotic milking units. The veterinary approach and the service we provide for each system is different and reflective of the challenges they face. We are dedicated to the progression and improvement of dairy production and farmer education. Through our local Dairy Business Development Groups, we have run farmer meetings on topics such as calf health and rearing, fertility, herd diseases and mastitis and SCC.
All of our dairy farms are encouraged to have frequent routine visits with the same vet where possible, which ensures health problems can be monitored and corrected regularly. Our team of experienced and dedicated farm vets are available 24/7 to cover the work which includes:
Routine fertility visits
Flock health visits
Herd health visits
